I liked the rainbow cake, too - the baker had to think in three dimensions while assembling that.
some of the saddest cakes are the "wreckplications" where the bride-to-be took a picture of the cake she wanted to a cakery and got very different results. poke around long enough and you'll find some serious wrecks.

Rainbow cake was my favorite because clearly it took SO much time and cooking for someone is a sign of love so there you go.
